Our Vision
To inspire future policymakers, lawyers, and health advocates to reform the structures that allow harmful food practices to persist — and to hold both corporations and governments accountable for the wellbeing of the public.
About Health on Trial
Health on Trial is a student-led investigative project examining the intersection of law, health, and America’s food industry. Founded in 2025, the platform was created to explore how corporate misconduct, weak food regulations, and government inaction have shaped the nation’s health and economy.
Our mission is to uncover the legal, ethical, and societal consequences of the modern food system — from fast food chains and meatpacking plants to federal policies and public health outcomes. We believe that understanding the law behind what we eat is the first step toward creating a more transparent, accountable, and healthy society.
Through in-depth articles, case studies, and policy analysis, Health on Trial challenges readers to question the systems that feed them. Each post aims to bring together history, data, and legal insight to reveal the true cost of convenience in America’s food landscape.
